At 21:00 on the same day, the Thai side heard the sound of a grenade launcher from an unknown location. The impact point was near a military camp on the Thai border. Afterwards, the Thai side observed a searchlight and saw a straight beam of light similar to a laser pointer pointing at a military camp on the Thai border. After the incident occurred, the Thai side fired warning shots, then the gunfire stopped. Thai and Cambodian commanders have coordinated to resolve this issue. Since the incident occurred suddenly and unprepared, the Thai military believes it may have been due to lack of discipline among Cambodian soldiers. There is currently no response from the Cambodian side.
