12:01 AM EDT, 06/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research expects Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) to provide a midterm framework for its commercial segment that helps investors focus on its underlying earnings strength instead of the "monthly delivery noise," in its upcoming business update on July 21. "We see the most likely format as absolute EBIT guidance, and that it would be framed around A320 at rate 75/month and A350 at rate 12/month, rather than a specific year. We think providing a guide is important, allowing the market to focus on the mid-term earnings of the business. We see Commercial earnings power of EUR14-16bn EBIT pre R&D, with a conservative R&D assumption of EUR3-4bn," analysts said June 5. The research firm said the combination of Airbus' "achievable and likely conservative" 10 billion-euro commercial EBIT guide and its prior midterm targets for Helis and defense and space, could lead the market to project group EBIT at 13 billion euros and free cash flow at 10 billion euros toward the end of the decade. Against this backdrop, the stock's price objective increased to 258 euros from 255 euros, as analysts rolled it forward to 2029, when they expect Airbus' production to stabilize. The buy rating was reiterated.
