What are Price Limits?

Price Limit

A price limit is a rule that sets the maximum price movement allowed for a stock in a single trading day. The price limit is designed to prevent extreme price volatility and sudden price fluctuations in the stock market.

A-Shares

The stock's price can rise or fall for a maximum of 10% based on its previous close price.

A-Shares ETFs

The ETF's price can rise or fall for a maximum of 10% (and ±20% for SSE and SZSE-listed ETFs specified by SSE and SZSE respectively) based on its previous close price.
