Why Is Nebius Stock Surging on Tuesday?

Benzinga·11/03/2026 17:18:06

Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS) shares were surging on Tuesday, driven by a technical rebound and dip-buying interest following a 35.19% decline over the past month.

Broader equity markets provided additional momentum, with the Nasdaq advancing 0.99%, the S&P 500 rising 0.57% and the Technology sector leading market segments with a 1.68% gain.

Investors are also positioning ahead of upcoming financial releases, as the broader technology sector remains choppy after falling 11.84% over the past 30 days and 4.72% across the past 90 days.

Earnings Countdown Begins

Nebius will report third-quarter 2026 financial results on Nov. 12. Market consensus estimates project a loss of 69 cents per share, compared with a loss of 40 cents per share in the prior-year period. Analysts expect quarterly revenue to reach $906.01 million, up from $146.10 million recorded last year.

Wall Street Consensus

Benzinga analyst consensus tracking 19 analysts shows a Buy rating on Nebius stock, consisting of one Strong Buy, 14 Buy, three Hold and one Sell recommendations. The average consensus price forecast stands at $237, implying an upside of 62.9%.

Recent Wall Street actions include Piper Sandler lowering its forecast to $185 with a Neutral rating on Oct. 21, Rosenblatt initiating coverage with a Buy rating and a $304 forecast on Oct. 8 and William Blair initiating coverage with an Outperform rating on Sept. 30.

Technical Analysis

Even after Tuesday’s bounce, NBIS is still trading 15.7% below its 20-day SMA ($179.53) and 26.8% below its 50-day SMA ($206.95), which keeps the intermediate trend tilted lower. It’s also 14.9% below the 200-day SMA ($177.89), a reminder that this rally attempt is happening from beneath long-term trend gauges rather than above them.

The moving-average structure is mixed: the 20-day SMA is below the 50-day SMA (bearish), but the 50-day SMA remains above the 200-day SMA (a longer-term bullish tilt that’s been damaged, not fully broken).

On the bigger picture, the stock is well off its 52-week high of $299.86 after peaking in June, and it’s rebounding from the October swing low area after breaking below support in November.

  • Key Resistance: $168.50 — a nearby pivot area that lines up with the stock still being below the 20-day/200-day moving-average zone, where rebounds can stall.
  • Key Support: $146 — a nearby floor close to current levels where buyers previously stepped in, making it the first "line in the sand" if the bounce fades.

NBIS Stock Price Activity: Nebius shares were up 7.22% at $151.59 on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
