NEXG wins RM9.97mil contract from CAAM

PETALING JAYA: NEXG Bhd (formerly Datasonic Group Bhd) has secured a contract worth RM9.97mil from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia in respect of the development of localisation, adaptation and integration of an unmanned aircraft system traffic management system.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, NEXG said the contract is for a period of 24 months commencing from March 5, 2025 to March 4, 2027.

“The contract is subject to normal business risks which include the state of the overall economy, pandemic crisis, changes in government regulations and operational risks such as increase in cost due to any escalation of material costs and contractual terms including default provisions.

“As such, the company would put in place appropriate control measures and operational procedures to reduce the impact or likelihood of such events.”

NEXG said the contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings and net assets per share of the group for the financial year ending March 31, 2025 and the financial years thereafter, for the duration of the contract and will not have any effect on its the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings.
