KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch today include CIMB Group Holding Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), S P Setia Bhd, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK), Sarawak Oil Palms Bhd, AirAsia X Bhd (AAX), Vetece Holdings Bhd, FGV Holdings Bhd and Unisem (M) Bhd.

CIMB’s net profit grew 5% to RM1.8bil in the fourth quarter of 2024 (4Q24), though revenue dipped slightly to RM5.32bil.

For the full year, the bank’s net profit rose 10.7% to RM7.7bil, with revenue up 6.1% to RM22.3bil.

TNB posted a net profit of RM4.69bil on RM56.73bil revenue in FY24, up from RM2.77bil and RM53.06bil previously.

It declared a final dividend of 26 sen, bringing the total FY2024 payout to 51 sen per share.

S P Setia posted a net profit of RM103.5mil in the fourth quarter of 2024 (4Q24), down from RM148.2mil a year ago, as revenue declined to RM1.06bil from RM1.38bil.

However, for the full year, net profit nearly doubled to RM575.9mil, supported by higher revenue of RM5.29bil compared with RM4.37bil in the previous year.

In the first quarter of 2025 (1Q25), KLK’s net profit fell 2.86% to RM220.5mil, while revenue rose 5.5% to RM5.94bil.

Sarawak Oil Palms’ net profit surged to RM446.75mil in FY24 from RM300.87mil the previous year, with revenue rising to RM5.31bil from RM5.12bil due to higher sales volume and improved selling prices.

AAX posted a net profit of RM22.6mil in 4Q24, lifting its full-year net profit to RM229.1mil, as revenue rose 6.6% to RM872.3mil for the quarter and RM3.2bil for the year.

Vetece’s wholly owned unit, Vision Technology Consulting Sdn Bhd (VTCM), secured an RM25mil software license deal.

FGV’s FY2024 net profit jumped to RM276.25mil as revenue rose to RM22.16bil, driven by higher CPO prices, sales volume, and sugar division contributions.

Unisem’s 4Q24 net profit fell 69.4% to RM8.7mil due to lower margins and higher costs, despite a 17.4% rise in revenue to RM411.8mil.

For FY24, its net profit dropped 24.4% to RM60.7mil, while revenue grew 9.8% to RM1.6bil.
