ITMAX secures RM27mil CCTV job for council

PETALING JAYA: ITMAX System Bhd has secured a contract worth RM26.6mil from Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) to provide video surveillance services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered integrated digital infrastructure service provider said it will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of a network of close-circuit cameras with AI features across the Seberang Perai area.

“The contract will commence with installation services. Upon completion, ITMAX will provide comprehensive maintenance services over the next eight years, with a recurring monthly fee of RM0.25mil.

ITMAX managing director and chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said the project expands the company’s reach in Penang.

He said the project aligns with the company’s long-term strategy of supporting city councils in adopting advanced digital infrastructure, where cities are embracing AI-driven technology to enhance public safety and urban efficiency.
