Dayang secures workboat provision contract

PETALING JAYA: Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, DESB Marine Services Sdn Bhd, has been awarded the contract for the provision of one accommodation workboat (AWB) from Hibiscus Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd (HML).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Dayang said the value of the contract is based on work orders issued by HML throughout the contract duration, which is approximately thirty days.

“The vessel delivery window is between April 14 to 18, 2025, with two extension options of up to thirty days each.

“The contract will have no effect on the issued capital of the company and is expected to contribute to the earnings of Dayang over the duration of the contract.”

Dayang added that risk factors affecting the contract include execution risks such as availability of skilled manpower and materials, changes in prices of materials, changes in political, economic and regulatory conditions.

“DESB shall ensure strict compliance with safety and operational procedures in the execution of contract requirements,” said the company.
