KPJ to undertake hospital renovation works totalling RM31.97mil

PETALING JAYA: KPJ Healthcare Bhd is proposing to undertake renovation works at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital (DSH) and Damansara Specialist Hospital 2 (DSH2), totalling RM31.97mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KPJ said it had issued two separate letters of acceptance for renovation works to JLG & BP Design Sdn Bhd, a 60% owned subsidiary of Damansara Assets Sdn Bhd, which in turn is an indirect subsidiary of Johor Corp.

KPJ said it is proposing to undertake renovation and interior design works to the lobby and facade of DSH for RM10.50mil; as well as design, build and commissioning works to levels 8 and 9 (Premier Ward) at DSH2 for RM21.47mil.

“The objective of these projects is part of the Strategic Planning 2025 initiative and to appoint a qualified design and build renovation works.

“The renovation works at DSH and DSH2 aims to meet growing patient demand, especially for premium single rooms and to create a modern, spacious, and welcoming environment that enhances the hospitals’ corporate image, improves patient and visitor experience, streamlines workflow and accessibility, and ensures a safe, comfortable, and efficient entry point to key hospital services.”

KPJ said this expansion will ease capacity issues, improve patient flow and attract more patients.
