KUALA LUMPUR: Private healthcare provider PMCK Bhd is expanding its regional footprint with the development of PMC Kulim, a new private medical centre scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2028.

“The centre is strategically located to serve the fast-developing Kulim Hi-Tech Park and surrounding industrial corridors, which have seen a surge in foreign direct investment and multinational expansion,” PMCK said in a statement.

In the fourth quarter ended April 30, PMCK recorded revenue of RM20.74mil, primarily driven by its core specialties in cardiology, orthopaedics, and surgical/general surgery.

Correspondingly, the group posted a profit after tax (PAT) of RM2.28mil for the quarter.

As this is PMCK’s first quarterly report, there are no comparative figures for the preceding corresponding quarter.

For the financial year ended April 30, 2025 (FY25), PMCK reported a lower net profit of RM11.3mil, or 1.39 sen per share, compared to RM15mil, or 1.84 sen previously.

Its revenue fell 10.61% to RM93.27mil from RM104.34mil in FY24, mainly due to a 19.04% decline in patient visits following severe floods and road closures in Kedah between September and November 2024.

PMCK is expected to be listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd on July 9.

Malacca Securities is the principal adviser, sponsor, underwriter, and joint placement agent, while Public Investment Bank Bhd and Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd serve as joint placement agents for the IPO.
