Econpile gets RM54mil construction job

PETALING JAYA: Econpile Holdings Bhd has received a letter of award from Gamuda Geo Sdn Bhd to undertake bored piling works and other associated construction activities from Komtar to East Jelutong, Penang, worth RM53.99mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the award is for a project known as “Projek Rapid Transit Aliran RinganPulau Pinang – Laluan Mutiara – Package CMC1.”

“The commencement date for the project is Oct 1, 2025, and the practical completion date is April 30, 2027.

“The project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the company from the financial year ending June 30, 2026, onwards,” it said.

Econpile said management will implement control measures and operational procedures to mitigate the impact or reduce the likelihood of operational risks typically associated with such projects.
