KUALA LUMPUR: Scientex Bhd reported a net profit of RM154.3mil in the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2025, up 13.6% from RM135.9mil in the year-ago quarter on the back of higher revenue, mainly owing to the contributions of the property division.

In a statement, the packaging manufacturer and property developer said 4QFY25 revenue rose 2.1% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM1.19bil.

For the entire financial year, the group's net profit stood at RM530.8mil compared to RM545.2mil in the previous year. Revenue hit a record of RM4.52bil in FY25 compared to RM4.48bil in FY24.

The board of directors recommended a final dividend of six sen per share,  with ex-date on Jan 7, 2026. and payable on Jan 23, 2026.

In FY25, the property division generated RM2.03bil in revenue, up from RM1.88bil previously due to steady sales, resilient take-up rates and higher new launches.

Meanwhile, the packaging division recorded revenue of RM2.48bil in FY25 compared to RM2.59bil in the previous year, weighed by softer export demand, increased market competition and currency fluctuations.

Scientex CEO Lim Peng Jin said the consistent demand for affordable homes reinforces the group's long-term strategy of expanding its landbank and developments.

"With over 42,000 affordable homes completed to date, we are making solid progress towards our goal of delivering 50,000 affordable homes by 2028. We are also prepared to roll out a stronger pipeline of new launches in 2026," he said.
