KUALA LUMPUR: Hextar Global Bhd and Hextar Industries Bhd have, via their subsidiaries, signed agreements with China's Inspur Enterprise Cloud Technology (Shandong) Co Ltd (IEC) to collaborate on sustainable solutions in green building and agriculture industries.

In a statement, Hextar Group said Hextar R&D International Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hextar Global Bhd, is collaborating with IEC to develop an integrated resource smart agriculture platform,  which will initially target the durian industry.

The platform, which will provide effective solutions for pest control and plant disease management, is also intended for extension to other agriculture setors such as oil palm and fruits based on market needs.

Meanwhile, TK Rental Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hextar Industries Bhd, is collaborating with IEC to jointly promote and develop the Green Building Intelligent Control Cloud Solution, an AI-driven platform designed to optimise energy use, enhance efficiency and reduce consumption across key sectors such as retail shopping malls, hospitals, transport, infrastructure and office buildings.

"These collaborations with IEC are aligned with Hextar’s vision to be the preferred business partner, enriching lives through our products and solutions.

"By embedding sustainability principles into our corporate actions, we are committed to delivering integrated technologies for farmers and businesses, accelerating digitalisation and driving long-term value for all stakeholders," said Hextar Group major shareholder Datuk Eddie Ong.
