PETALING JAYA: Mesiniaga Bhd has accepted a RM135.58mil contract from the Finance Ministry for the provision of marking technology, system development services and comprehensive hardware to the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

In a bourse filing, the company said the contract involves supplying 2.6 billion markings for cigarette and alcoholic beverage products.

The contract is effective Oct 1, 2025, and is to be completed by Sept 30, 2030.

The company said there is no automatic renewal clause in the contract.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, onwards until its expiry.

Mesiniaga said the risks relate mainly to meeting the service level commitments and deadlines imposed by the customer.

“The company has taken the necessary steps to mitigate the risks,” it added.
