Paragon Globe’s 2Q26 net profit surges 54%

PETALING JAYA: Paragon Globe Bhd’s net profit surged 54% year-on-year (y-o-y) to almost RM14mil in the second quarter of financial year 2026 (2Q26), on the back of land and property sales.

Recurring rental income contributions also lifted the second-quarter bottomline.

The group’s revenue, however, fell 14.2% y-o-y to RM52.46mil due to reduced contribution from its property development segment.

“The decrease was primarily due to the lower recognition of revenue from land sales in Desa Cemerlang, Johor as well as sales of detached factories and shop offices in Pekan Nenas, Johor,” Paragon Globe said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Earnings per share were recorded higher at 1.87 sen. The group did not announce a dividend for the quarter.

As for the first-half period, Paragon Globe’s net profit more than doubled to RM29.94mil, while revenue increased 28.6% y-o-y to RM108.11mil.
