In recent years, the value added of the national seawater desalination and comprehensive utilization industry has increased by an average of 5.6% per year, reaching 33.7 billion yuan in 2024. By the end of August this year, the total scale of China's seawater desalination project had exceeded 2.9 million tons/day, completing the “14th Five-Year Plan” target ahead of schedule.
