Marafiq Chosen as Preferred Bidder for SAR3 Billion Sewage Treatment Facility Project

04:30 AM EST, 12/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Power and Water Utility Co. for Jubail and Yanbu (SASE:2083), d/b/a Marafiq, said Sunday its consortium chose it as the preferred bidder for the 3 billion-Saudi-riyal Arana Independent Sewage Treatment Plant project. The 25-year project involves the design, funding, building, procurement, operations, upkeep, and potential expansion of the Makkah-based facility, which is expected to have a treatment capacity of 250,000 cubic meters daily. The consortium comprises the utility company, Miahona Co. (SASE:2084), and Buhur for Investment Co.
