Macron was quoted as saying, given that the US dollar is being used as an economic instrument and Europe's economic growth has stagnated, “In my opinion, the current European monetary policy is completely capable of making major adjustments. To reaffirm the value of Europe's internal market, inflation must not be the sole target; it is also necessary to balance economic growth and employment.”
