After the opening of Line 16 Phase II and Line 6 Branch Line 2 on September 28 this year, Shenzhen plans to centrally open and operate 4 new subway lines by the end of the year, namely the West Extension Section of Line 5, Phase III of Line 8, Phase II of Line 11, and Phase 1 of Line 13 operated by the MTR (Shenzhen) Corporation. So far, 6 new subway lines will be added this year, the operating mileage of rail transit will increase to 635 kilometers, the number of stations will increase to 441, and the scale of the rail transit operation network will be newly upgraded.
