05:42 AM EST, 12/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AlphaValue/Baader Europe lowered its price target and EPS assumptions for Amplifon (AMP.MI), noting volatile macroeconomic conditions and competitive pressures. On Dec. 5, the research firm reduced the buy-rated stock's price target by 14.4% to 25.2 euros. Analysts also decreased their full-year 2025 and 2026 EPS estimates by 8.42% and 15.2%, respectively, to 0.54 euro and 0.64 euro. "We have once again reduced our earnings estimates for Amplifon due to increasing near-term challenges. The company's recovery in Europe, its largest market, is delayed. Furthermore, the US private pay market is experiencing weakness, and the APAC region is affected by buyer caution," the note said. AlphaValue/Baader Europe also flagged markets' caution about new major entrants like EssilorLuxottica (EL.PA) and Apple (APC.F), but noted these firms focus on mild-to-moderate hearing loss through over-the-counter products, contrasting with the traditional focus on moderate-to-severe loss in older patients. The research firm added that the influx of large players could positively impact the sector by increasing awareness and reducing stigma.
