Recently, the “Report on the Development of Human Rights in China” organized by the China Human Rights Research Association was officially released. This is the 15th Human Rights Blue Book published by the China Society for Human Rights Studies since 2011. The Blue Book includes 28 general reports, special reports, case study reports, and appendices. The general report focuses on China's vivid practice of further comprehensively deepening reforms and promoting high-quality development of human rights. It points out that in implementing the various tasks of further comprehensive and deepening reforms, China's protection of economic, social and cultural rights, as well as civil and political rights, the protection of the rights and interests of various specific groups is more adequate, and the cause of human rights in China is being promoted comprehensively and in a coordinated manner in various fields. Thematic reports mainly include rural revitalization to improve human rights protection, food safety and security for citizens, judicial protection of labor rights, improvement of medical aid systems, equalization of basic public education services, smart education, deepening scientific and technological system reform to promote cultural rights protection, restorative justice and environmental rights protection, people's livelihood practical project voting system, promotion of women's equal employment rights and interests, prevention of bullying in primary and secondary schools, etc., as well as an analysis report on national human rights legislation in 2024, new developments in international human rights exchanges and cooperation . The case research report mainly focuses on topics such as the protection of people's rights in the construction of people's cities, the 12345 government service hotline and the practice of urban residents' rights, democratic rights protection in cyberspace, and pastoral circuit courts to enhance the accessibility of judicial remedies.
