On December 9, a batch of clothing goods departing from Milan, Italy landed at Haikou Meilan International Airport. After completing the order exchange, the Hainan Airlines flight successfully flew to Hong Kong, China. It marked the success of the Hainan Free Trade Port's first international transit “order exchange” business test order, achieving another breakthrough in the international air cargo transit model, providing key transit guarantee capability support and an efficient logistics transportation foundation for the upcoming island-wide customs clearance operation at the Hainan Free Trade Port. At the same time, this is another substantial step forward in cargo linkage between Hainan and Hong Kong since the Hainan Airport Group signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Hong Kong Airport Authority in September of this year.
