German Trade Surplus Widens in October

02:08 AM EST, 12/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Germany's calendar and seasonally adjusted trade surplus came in at 16.9 billion euros in October, up from 15.3 billion euros in September, according to data from the country's Federal Statistical Office published Tuesday. Analysts expected a trade surplus of 15.2 billion euros for the month. Exports edged up 0.1% month over month, compared with the revised 1.5% rise in September and the expected 0.2% fall. Monthly imports were 1.2% lower, against the 3.1% increase earlier and the market forecast of 0.2% growth.
