Argentina's economy minister Luis Caputo announced on Tuesday that the government will cut export taxes on major grains. On social networking platform X, he said that the export tax on soybeans will be reduced from 26% to 24%, and the export tax on soybean by-products will be reduced from 24.5% to 22.5%. Furthermore, the export tax rate for wheat and barley will be reduced from 9.5% to 7.5%, and the export tax on corn and sorghum will also be reduced from 9.5% to 8.5%. The move aims to enhance the competitiveness of Argentine agricultural products in the international market, stimulate agricultural exports, and support the country's much-needed foreign exchange earnings.
