Hong Kong Real Estate: Second-hand housing registrations in Hong Kong surpassed HK$5 million to HK$10 million in November, reaching a seven-month high of 1,392

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Wang Pindi, director of the Hong Kong Real Estate Research Department, said that according to data from the Land Registry, over 5 million to 10 million yuan (HKD, same below), 1,392 second-hand housing registrations (including second-hand private homes and second-hand public housing) were registered in November, an increase of about 3.4% over 1,346 cases in October, rising for 3 months.

Since it takes time to sign a sales contract and submit it to the Land Registry for registration, November registration cases generally reflect the market situation in October.

If the Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories were divided into the three districts of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, the month-on-month performance of second-hand housing registrations of over 5 million to 10 million yuan was recorded, with the New Territories recording 746 registrations, an increase of about 14.4% over 652 in October, driving an overall improvement in second-hand housing registrations of over 5 million to 10 million yuan, mainly due to the significant month-on-month increase in the number of registrations in this category, such as PARK YOHO, where the registration volume of this category increased 5 times over the previous month; in contrast, the Hong Kong Island region recorded 276 registrations. About a decrease of about 292 cases in October 5.5%; the Kowloon district recorded 370 registrations, a decrease of about 8% from 402 cases in October.

As for the ranking of housing estates with over 5 million to 10 million yuan in second-hand housing registrations in November, Sunrise Kangcheng topped the list with 54 registrations, an increase of about 14.9% over 47 in October; Whampoa Garden ranked second with 26 registrations, an increase of about 8.3% over 24 in October; Metropolis City and Mei Foo Sun Chuen each followed with 24 second-hand housing registrations of over 5 million to 10 million yuan. Among them, Metropolis increased by about 84.6% from 13 in October, and Mei Foo Sun Chuen decreased by 20% from 30 in October.
