Siemens Energy Points to Development Plan for Wind Business Amid Reported Activist Campaign by Ananym Capital

09:32 AM EST, 12/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Siemens Energy (ENR.F) said Tuesday it values constructive input from shareholders amid reports of an activist investor calling for a strategic review, including a spinoff, of its wind business. In response to a request for comment on a same-day report from London's Financial Times, a spokesperson also said the German energy technology company addressed the development of Siemens Gamesa at its recent Capital Markets day, with plans to be executed diligently. The FT reported unnamed sources as saying that Ananym Capital has amassed a "large position" in Siemens Energy and has told the latter's board that the wind business is a drag on the group's gas turbine and grid power businesses. Ananym Capital did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
