Kazakh oil production is at risk of production cuts as maintenance of key Black Sea export mooring facilities continues to be delayed. Currently, only one of the three mooring points of the Black Sea CPC terminal is in operation. One was previously severely damaged by Ukrainian drones, while the other is under maintenance. CPC requires at least two moorings to operate simultaneously to maintain Kazakhstan's full export capacity. Due to current capacity limitations, oil storage facility inventories have continued to accumulate. People familiar with the matter said that the repair work is currently not expected to be completed until December 15, which is taking longer than previously anticipated. Under such circumstances, oil storage facilities could fill up quickly, forcing Kazakhstan to cut production. CPC oil terminal This terminal is the only main channel for crude oil exports from Kazakhstan's largest oil field, and also transports some Russian crude oil.
