In a series of lawsuits, microchip makers such as Intel, AMD, and Texas Instruments are accused of failing to prevent the flow of their technology into Russian-made weapons, which are used to kill and injure civilians in Ukraine. In five lawsuits filed in Texas court on Wednesday, one alleges that these companies — and a Berkshire company under Warren Buffett — showed “deliberate disregard” when third parties resold restricted chips to Russia for use in drones and missiles in violation of US sanctions.
