Volkswagen's Audi to Sell Majority Stake in Italdesign to UST

01:59 AM EST, 12/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Volkswagen's (VOW.F) Audi Group unit agreed to sell a majority stake in its Italy-based design and engineering company, Italdesign, to digital transformation company UST. Italdesign's current parent, Lamborghini, which is part of Audi, will retain a significant stake, with Audi remaining a strategic partner of Italdesign in the long term, according to a Thursday release. Under the deal, UST will assume operational responsibility of Italdesign and will help expand its international presence. Terms of the deal, which remains subject to regulatory approvals, were not disclosed.
