04:01 AM EST, 12/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Norwegian oil and gas operator DNO (DNO.OL) plans to restart drilling at its 75%-owned and operated Tawke oil license in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. While the drilling was halted in 2023 due to export pipeline closure and dropping revenues, the project is still producing 80,000 barrels of oil per day, according to a Thursday release. The Tawke license, which consists of the Tawke and Peshkabir oil fields, has surpassed 500 million barrels of oil produced.
