On December 11, the Sichuan Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that in November, the consumer price index in Sichuan rose 0.1% year on year and fell 0.1% month on month. On average from January to November, the CPI of Sichuan decreased by 0.3% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, in November, pork prices fell 2.2% month-on-month, an increase of 0.2 percentage points over the previous month. The continued decline was mainly affected by factors such as the current high level of pig production capacity, changes in consumption habits, and the beginning of the peak season for lamb consumption. Prices of industrial consumer goods remained flat month-on-month. Among them, due to international gold price trends, the price of gold jewelry continued to operate at a high level, rising 6.0% month-on-month, and the price of silver jewelry rising 6.2% month-on-month. Overall, although the CPI in Sichuan is still running at a low level, with the introduction and implementation of a series of policies and measures to expand domestic demand, positive factors in price management have gradually accumulated and become apparent, and the core CPI continues to strengthen. In November, Sichuan's core CPI excluding food and energy prices rose 0.9% year on year. The increase was the same as last month, and has maintained an upward trend for 9 consecutive months. A relevant person in charge of the Consumer Price Survey Department of the Sichuan Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics said that the increase in core CPI was affected by the year-on-year increase in service prices, and on the other hand, it was also due to the improvement in industrial consumer goods prices brought about by “anti-internal sales.”
