Rio Tinto Signs Interim Modernized Deal with Yinhawangka People in Australia

11:58 PM EST, 12/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rio Tinto Group (RIO.L) said Thursday it entered into an interim modernized agreement with Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corp., which represents the Yinhawangka People in Australia. The deal outlines the long-term cooperation between the parties, building on the participation agreement signed in 2013. The mining company said it will continue to work with the representative body to finalize a full version of the modernized deal in 2026.
