In its latest export outlook, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council predicts that Hong Kong's exports are expected to grow by 8% to 9% in 2026, continuing the better-than-expected performance in 2025. According to forecasts, growth in 2026 will mainly be driven by strong demand for artificial intelligence-related electronic products. Currently, electronic products account for over 70% of Hong Kong's total export value. Furthermore, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council announced the export confidence index survey results for the fourth quarter of 2025, showing that both the current status index and the expected index remained above the 50-point watershed, indicating that exports are expected to continue to grow.
