Goldman Sachs strategists said that with the further spread of artificial intelligence applications and the continued resilience of the US economy, US stocks will reach new highs next year, and corporate profits will also increase significantly. The team, led by Ben Snider, expects earnings per share of S&P 500 companies to grow 12% next year, and an additional 10% in 2027. Among them, the productivity increase brought about by AI is expected to contribute about 0.4 percentage points and 1.5 percentage points, respectively. Snider will succeed David Kostin as Goldman Sachs's chief US stock strategist at the end of the year. He reiterated that the target point for the S&P 500 next year is 7,600 points, which means there is still room for growth of about 10% compared to the current level. Other market forecasters and asset managers are also optimistic. Analysts at institutions such as Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, and Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets all expect US stocks to rise by more than 10% in 2026.
