The Zhitong Finance App learned that the International Air Transport Association (IATA, “International Aviation Association” for short) released the latest financial outlook for the global aviation industry. Despite ongoing bottlenecks in the aviation supply chain, industry profits have stabilized. Global airlines are expected to achieve total net profit of US$41 billion in 2026 (US$39.5 billion in 2025), a record high, but net interest rates remain at 3.9%, the same as in 2025. The average net profit per traveler was $7.90, below the all-time high of $8.50 in 2023, and the same as in 2025.
