Acciona Energía Strikes $1 Billion Deal to Divest Wind, Solar Farm Stakes

05:22 AM EST, 12/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Acciona (ANA.MC) unit Corporación Acciona Energías Renovables Acciona Energía (ANE.MC) agreed to sell 49% of its US photovoltaic portfolio and its entire stake in two Mexican wind farms for $1 billion. The US part of the transaction comprises the Red Tailed Hawk, Fort Bend Solar, High Point Solar, and Union Solar plants, with a combined capacity of 1.3 gigawatts, according to a Monday release. Acciona Energía will continue to operate and manage the assets and retain its 51% stake. Meanwhile, the Mexican assets are the El Cortijo and Santa Cruz wind farms. Closing of the deal is expected in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other requirements.
