A joint briefing on AEO policies between the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau Customs was held on December 16 in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. More than 400 enterprises and nearly 500 representatives from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and all over the country attended the conference. A total of 52,000 people attended the conference online. At the meeting, Qi Ming, Deputy Director of the Department of Enterprise Management and Inspection of the General Administration of Customs, Wu Zhenhua, and Macau Customs Assistant Director Ye Huazhao respectively gave presentations on the implementation of the AEO systems of Mainland Customs, Hong Kong Customs, and Macau Customs. AEO experts from the three parties explained in detail AEO mutual recognition cooperation, enterprise certification standards and compliance system construction, and gave policy explanations on the “People's Republic of China Customs Registration and Filing Enterprise Credit Management Measures”, and the Hong Kong and Macao AEO system. The AEO mutual recognition between Mainland Customs and Hong Kong Customs was implemented on September 1, 2014, and the AEO mutual recognition with Macau Customs was implemented on June 1, 2023, and both have achieved automatic exchange of AEO enterprise information.
