On December 16, the 7th meeting of the China-Morocco Joint Commission on Economy, Trade and Technology was held in Beijing. Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with the head of the Moroccan delegation, Minister of Industry and Trade Mezur, accompanied by Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Li. Wang Wentao said that under the strategic leadership of President Xi Jinping and King Mohammed VI, Sino-Moroccan relations have continued to develop, and bilateral economic and trade cooperation has achieved positive results. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee drew up a grand blueprint for China's development over the next five years. The recently held Central Economic Work Conference made important arrangements for deepening foreign cooperation. Sino-Moroccan economic and trade cooperation is facing new development opportunities and broad prospects. Today, the two sides are holding the 7th meeting of the Sino-Moroccan Joint Economic and Trade Commission. This is a practical action for the two sides to jointly implement the important economic and trade agreement between the heads of state of the two countries. China is ready to work hand in hand with Morocco to strengthen the strategic interface between the two countries, deepen cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and green economy, and push Sino-Moroccan economic and trade relations to a new level. Mezour said that Sino-Moroccan relations are friendly, and Morocco attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with China, and is willing to work with China to actively implement the consensus of the two heads of state, continue to strengthen bilateral economic, trade and technical cooperation, establish mutually beneficial and win-win partnerships, and promote the development of bilateral economic and trade relations. The two sides positively evaluated the results of cooperation achieved since the last session of the Joint Economic and Trade Commission, focusing on in-depth exchanges of views and reaching broad consensus on topics such as promoting the sustainable and healthy development of bilateral trade, expanding the scale of investment cooperation, and strengthening the production supply chain and cooperation in emerging fields. After the meeting, the two sides jointly signed the minutes of the meeting.
