German parliamentarians will hold a closed-door meeting on Wednesday to approve a record number of arms contracts, pioneering the approval of more than 50 billion euros in defense spending in a single session. According to procurement documents, the 30 orders will cover a wide range of goods and services, including 21 billion euros for basic military equipment and clothing, more than 4 billion euros for “Puma” infantry fighting vehicles, 3.4 billion euros for self-propelled howitzers, and 3 billion euros for “Arrow-3” anti-aircraft interceptor missiles.
