On December 17, Wu Lei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai Electric, and his entourage visited China Nuclear Industry Group Co., Ltd. and had in-depth exchanges with CNNC Party Secretary and Chairman Shen Yanfeng on deepening strategic cooperation. During the talks, the two sides agreed that the foundation of cooperation between CNNC and Shanghai Electric is deep, and they are looking forward to using this meeting as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation, seize the high ground in energy technology, work together to attack “stuck neck” technologies such as key nuclear power equipment, enhance autonomous and controllable capabilities, achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation, and jointly create a new model of cooperation between central and local enterprises. During the talks, the two sides also agreed to increase cooperation in fields such as R&D and supply of nuclear power equipment, fusion industry collaboration, new energy development, engineering construction, and international market development.
