Levitt said the JFK Center board “voted unanimously to change the name of the JFK Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center.” Levitt said Trump “made an extraordinary contribution to saving this building in the past year.” US House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries said that the JFK Center board of directors has no authority to do this; only Congress can change the name of the JFK Center.
