Zhitong Finance App News, Seiko Technology (002006.SZ) announced that the company plans to invest in the construction of the “Seiko Composite Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project” through its wholly-owned subsidiary Seiko (Wuhan) Composites Co., Ltd. west of Tengfei Road, Hengdian Street, Huangpi District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province (within Seiko Wuhan Composite Plant area). The total estimated investment of the project is 426 million yuan. (Of this, 250 million yuan of capital raised was used).

The project plans to build an intelligent manufacturing base for precision composites. A total of 64 sets of production equipment such as pre-impregnation production lines and automatic wire laying machines were added. After implementation, it formed an annual production capacity of 10 sets of composite production equipment, 28,000 sets of carbon ceramic brake discs, 750,000 square meters of carbon fiber pre-impregnation (250,000 square meters for personal use, 500,000 square meters for export), 1,000 tons of wind power blade pull-out beams, 2,000 carbon fiber pressure vessels, 45 sets of aerospace and low-altitude manned equipment, 6,000 sets of carbon fiber components for humanoid robots, 160,000 carbon fiber propellers for drones, and 250,000 new energy battery cases.

According to the announcement, the project aims to build a high-end composite intelligent manufacturing base integrating R&D, production and sales in Wuhan, to form a new carbon fiber composite product ecosystem, fill gaps in the regional industrial chain, and promote structural optimization, transformation and upgrading of the new materials industry in Wuhan and even Hubei Province. At the same time, the implementation of the project will also effectively promote the implementation of the company's overall development strategy for the carbon fiber industry, accelerate the company's layout in the field of carbon fiber materials and composites, accelerate the company's transformation from a single equipment supplier to a “equipment+materials” comprehensive solution provider, and help strengthen, improve and expand the company's main carbon fiber business.
