Germany Orders Additional Armored Vehicle from Rheinmetall-KNDS JV Under EUR4.2 Billion Contract

07:42 AM EST, 12/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rheinmetall (RHM.F) said Friday that Projekt System & Management GmbH, its joint venture with KNDS Deutschland, signed an amended contract with the German Bundeswehr to supply 200 Puma infantry fighting vehicles. Under the 4.2 billion-euro contract, Rheinmetall's Rheinmetall Landsysteme unit and KNDS will receive 2.1 billion euros each as subcontractors. The agreement will take legal effect in January 2026, while the first vehicle delivery is expected in mid-2028. Germany's Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support of the Bundeswehr previously ordered 50 armored vehicles under a framework contract in May 2023.
