Keating Buys Shuttered 1M-SF Waco Glass Plant

Keating Resources has purchased a 1,060,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution building located on 56 acres of Interstate 35 in Waco. The seller was Owens-Illinois, who has a glass plant at the location between 1943 and 2023.

Alec Keating, President of Keating Resources, said the company is repositioning the 907,000 square foot distribution portion of the building for lease or for sale as a multi-tenant distribution and manufacturing facility, noting that the building naturally divides to 100,000 square foot units, which he says is ideal based on market demand.

Keating said the building is unique, with clear heights spanning 24 to 33 feet, 20 acres of outdoor storage, 2 active rail spurs, a high-volume natural gas service, and high-capacity electric service.
