UAE's state-owned renewable energy company Masdar announced its first project in Malaysia and signed an agreement to develop the largest floating solar power plant in Southeast Asia. A consortium led by Masdar signed a power purchase agreement for a 200 MW floating photovoltaic project at Cheré Dam. The project is expected to invest over MYR 850 million.
