According to Iranian media reports, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran seized an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf on the 24th with 16 foreign crew members on board. Iran's state television quoted Revolutionary Guard Corps naval commander Abbas Ghulamshahi as reporting that the tanker was carrying “4 million litres of smuggled fuel and 16 non-Iranian crew members” and that “the Revolutionary Guards boarded the ship when it left Iranian territorial waters.”
