According to successive reports from the Ministry of Health of Lebanon, the Israeli army launched an air strike on the Hirmil region in northeastern Lebanon near Syria, resulting in 2 deaths; another person was attacked and killed by the Israeli army in the Majdel-Selm region of southern Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces and the General Directorate of National Security issued a joint statement on the same day saying that the Israeli army killed Hussein al-Chahri, a key member of the “Al-Quds Brigade” in Lebanon, and identified Chauhairi as having participated in planning attacks against Israel from within Syria and Lebanon in recent years. The Israeli military also said that a Hezbollah fighter was killed in the Majdal Selm region.
