Alstom Lands Passenger Train Supply Contract in Mexico

02:57 AM EST, 12/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alstom (ALO.PA) secured a contract worth 20.2 billion Mexican pesos to supply 47 diesel multiple unit passenger trains to Mexico's Railway Transport Regulatory Agency. The trains, which will be manufactured at the French rail and transport equipment company's plant in the Mexican state of Hidalgo, will be used for the Mexico City-Querétaro-Irapuato and Saltillo-Monterrey-Nuevo Laredo railway corridors, according to a Friday release. Alstom will also provide maintenance services for the trains for five years, along with commissioning, inspection, and refueling stations.
