Lufthansa flight LH0722 on the Munich-Beijing route was scheduled to land at Almaty International Airport in Kazakhstan on December 26 due to an emergency situation. One passenger on board died due to illness. The Kazakh Civil Aviation Administration reported that during the flight, a passenger on board suddenly felt unwell and then lost consciousness. The crew resolutely decided to make an emergency landing at Almaty International Airport. After the plane landed, the airport medical service department and the city's emergency medical team boarded the plane immediately to carry out rescue work. Medical personnel confirmed on the spot that the passenger had died during the flight. The Kazakh Traffic Police issued a notice saying that according to preliminary medical findings, the cause of death of the passenger was acute heart failure, and follow-up investigations are ongoing.
