The relevant information was reported as follows: On the afternoon of December 13, 2025, Huang drove 4 people into the border of Gulao Town in Heshan City. He drove straight from northwest to southeast along the Xijiang River embankment section, and turned left at 17:27 into the TJ01 section of the Nanhai to Xinhui Expressway under construction. There are warning signs on the entrance side of the construction site such as “speed limit of 10 km” and “Non-operators are prohibited from entering heavy construction sites”, and speed bumps are provided on both sides of the entrance. After entering the construction site, Huang drove about 120 meters ahead and crashed into the protective fence on the right side of the trestle and fell into the Xijiang River. After receiving the report, Heshan City quickly organized public security, transportation, emergency, maritime, health and other departments and professional rescue forces and equipment such as the Blue Sky Rescue Team to carry out search and rescue work. At around 11:00 on December 14, the vehicle that fell into the water was salvaged ashore, and it was confirmed that the 5 passengers on board had died. After investigation by the public security authorities, the cause of death was in line with the characteristics of death by drowning. After the incident occurred, the governments of Jiangmen City and Heshan City quickly set up working groups to carry out comprehensive investigation and aftercare work to promptly provide assistance and report the situation to the families of the deceased.
